As part of the policy of board rotation, the CEA has welcomed two new members to its Executive Board.
Mark Ormond (pictured left) is the MD of Manitou UK, having previously held a similar role for the UK subsidiary of the Italian-owned tractor manufacturer, SAME Deutz-Fahr. He is responsible for all sales and after-sales activities of the Manitou and Gehl brands in the UK and the ROI. Mark is also a member of the Board of the Agricultural Engineers Association – and served as their President in 2017/18.
Charles Stevenson (pictured right) of JCB has had extensive overseas experience including positions in Brazil and work in Southern Europe and Turkey. Today he is the General Manager of JCB’s London office which brings him into direct contact with government representatives and policy experts. He has also been a key player in the development of the CESAR Emissions Verification Scheme (ECV).
Commenting on the changes, CEA chief executive, Rob Oliver said, “It is great to have both Mark and Charles on the Board as they bring just the right combination of knowledge and experience which can help us progress as an organisation. Rory Keogh (Gomaco) and Nigel Baseley stepped down from the Board to allow this change and I am particularly grateful to them for the work they have put in to help pilot the CEA”.
In a further change, former Caterpillar UK director and CEA president, and current Ricardo representative, Paul Ross takes on the chairmanship of the Executive Board. He also steps up to become chair of the CESAR Committee in succession to Trimark’s Keith Dolbear. Keith has also retired from membership of the CEA’s Management Council.
